The Harvest?
I bought some seeds the other day. I know some of you might be thinking, ‘Aren’t you in Florida doing a bootcamp? And isn’t it winter!? So why on earth did you buy seeds now?’ It’s because I can’t get my eyes off the harvest. I bought these seeds in faith, having no idea where or when I will plant most of them, but it doesn’t matter. To me this is a divine picture. The Lord has given us His Seed, Christ Jesus. In this Seed is the ability to produce life and everywhere we scatter it, there is an opportunity for harvest. That is my goal. I want the harvest of my beloved Seed.
I want to encourage you today. God has given you His Seed, and the commission to spread it (even if you don’t know where or how yet). Every time Jesus is sewn into the heart of a man, there is opportunity for Life to take root, and every time that root is formed, the image within the Seed has an opportunity to be reproduced.
This image must take form, because it is the substance of the harvest. His Life formed in us is our hope of glory; it is mankind’s hope for harvest. I invite you today to join us (or to continue on with strength) in the sewing, and the reaping of the harvest.
Whats been happening?
We have been VERY busy! Our first week of the bootcamp was used to serve at the Fire21 Conference. We went from there, full swing into classes, internships, outreach, weekend services, mentorships, and homework. Ed and I continue to homeschool the kids as well (Rebecca helps), and we are required to work out throughout the week too. It has been wonderfully stretching and is proving to be exactly what we needed! We are so grateful for all that we are learning.
Last Monday, I (Katherine) ended up with Covid, which has left us a bit homebound. We have a wonderful group of friends who has helped to support us though, and we are able to do all our classes through Zoom. The week leading up to me getting sick, our household was privileged to lead almost 20 people to the Lord. We’ll get to actually connect with some when I am better! Our class also did an outreach right before I got sick and we saw 79 people people give their lives to Jesus (3 of those were by Ed and I)! We welcome continued prayers as I would really cherish getting my smell and taste back soon. Other than that I a m mostly well and so is everyone else!
In other news, I found out I am pregnant with Funk baby number 5, and will be deferring my initiation trip until next year. The funds that were for my trip have gone to Ed and now his trip is almost paid off. We have also found out that we will need to stay in Orlando for an extra month while he is gone on his trip. Blessings to you all and thank you for your prayers and support!
