Moving!

Updated: May 18, 2023

God is moving! He is alive, living, and active, and He is filling His body, the church, with His Spirit to accomplish His will on the earth!

We wanted to take some time to thank all of you who have sewn or invested into Proffer Ministries this last year. Your yeses have meant that over 70,000 people have made decisions to go after Jesus, and countless more have had a seed of God’s love and truth planted in their hearts. What an incredibly precious thing to be a part of; to see the beauty of the church moving as one under the headship of Christ, and to see people coming to know His goodness and grace for the very first time.

We know too, that this is just the beginning of what we will see. God is continuing to lead us to new places with the Gospel, to establish greater measures of discipleship, to invest in those who are hungry to go after God, and to use our resources to make sure that others know the heart of God towards them. We want to do these things to the very best of our abilities and to honor God with all that we have and receive.

As a part of this effort, we decided to move Proffer Ministries’ headquarters to south central Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is a place that we have long considered home, and it creates an excellent place for us to dig in locally and also multiply our efforts abroad. Moving here has meant that Ed (my husband) is getting to join a local church as their missions director and lead more teams in sharing the Gospel in Africa and the Dominican Republic. In fact, a week after moving here, he left for His second trip to the DR. He and Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos led a team of 10 others to share in schools, do street outreach, and hand out shoe boxes stuffed with gifts that our local church members purchased. This trip was especially special, because our daughter, Jovannah, and my mother, Elizabeth, got to go along. This was Jovannah's first trip, and she had such joy handing out gifts and seeing children respond to the Gospel! We really believe that age is not a factor in being used by God and this trip was such a beautiful opportunity to see that!

Ed’s next trip will be Malawi in February. He is planning to be gone for about a month, and is taking a group of 5 others to teach and share the Gospel in schools. He also has another trip planned for what we think will be May. This trip will be to Kenya and likely be a bit longer. This will mean that he is maximizing his efforts with the resources that have been invested. We are believing for a great Harvest in both of these countries.

As Ed continues to go abroad, we continue to see fruit here in America as well. Here in our ministries new hometown, we have made several connections with local churches, businesses, and individuals that really have a vision for seeing the Gospel expressed and proclaimed. We know that God is building infrastructure for an incredible display of His glory! This next week, we will begin going out on the streets to share the Gospel, and are working to develop a plan that will help others to express their faith and share it with others. We know that God is building up His Body. We are each called under His headship and each of our roles is important to the whole. I pray that you will also be encouraged to say yes to God and the role He has put in you to fulfill! (And please feel free to tell us about what that is!! We want to hear it and encourage you!)

God is so good, we are very excited to tell you even more! We will update you soon and pray you all are filled with hope and joy in Christ!
